Find out how Chance for Childhood Ghana is run.
Chance for Childhood Ghana

Chance for Childhood has been working in Ghana since 1999, providing inclusive education and support for children in vulnerable situations, especially girls and children with disabilities.
In the past three years, we have supported over 51,000 children in Ghana to ensure they have childhoods filled with safety, belonging and play. From early years education projects to our award-winning Disability Detect app, we have deep expertise of running programmes in the country, providing long-term solutions and driving positive change for communities.

Ghana Board
In Ghana, Chance for Childhood is registered locally as a charity under the name: Chance for childhood development in Ghana.
Chance for Childhood Ghana also has its own Board of Trustees, so it operates more independently than our other country offices.
The Ghana Board is made up of seven members: Carole Ramella (Board Chair), Elizabeth Kwesi Armah, Genevieve Partington, Margaretha Ubels, Stephan Antoh, Abdul-Ghaffar Adam and Rita Marfo (Board Secretary).Together, they help form the direction and oversee the work that takes place in Ghana.
Richard O. Opoku is the Acting Country Representative responsible for overseeing our work in Ghana.
